AI Ads Monitoring

Is anyone bidding on your brand and your category inside AI answers?

Sponsored placements currently appear on ChatGPT. Our own daily multi-engine tracking, which includes ChatGPT ad tracking, shows whether advertisers surface on prompts that name your brand, compare you with alternatives, or define your category.

Category leaderboard

Who is advertising in your category?

Each morning, we group the sponsored placements captured across your tracked category prompts and rank advertisers by share of observed ad appearances. You see who is buying attention most often.

This is appearance data from the prompts we track. It does not estimate spend, budget, or total market share.

Illustrative advertiser leaderboard Advertiser A has 38 percent of observed ad appearances, Advertiser B 27 percent, Advertiser C 18 percent, and other advertisers 17 percent. Brand watchlist

Is anyone bidding on your brand?

Your branded and comparison prompts get their own watchlist. For every prompt where an ad appeared, you see the advertiser and the date observed.

We cannot see a private bid or budget. We can show that a sponsored placement appeared next to a prompt containing your brand.

Action filter

Which prompts carry ads when your brand is missing?

We filter the prompt set to the cases that need action: a competitor advertised and your brand was not mentioned in the answer.

The coverage table gives your team a clear queue for content, positioning, and paid response. It separates a visible threat from a general category trend.

Weekly trend

How is ad pressure in your category changing?

Daily observations roll into a weekly share of tracked prompts with sponsored placements. The line shows whether category pressure is building, flat, or easing.

This measures ad coverage in your prompt set, not advertiser spend. The same prompt set and method run each day, so the direction stays comparable.

Illustrative weekly AI ad coverage trend The share of tracked prompts with sponsored placements rises from 14 percent in week one to 36 percent in week six. FAQ

What the monitoring does and does not tell you.

Which AI ads can Schmitdy monitor?+
We monitor sponsored placements that are observable in the agreed AI engines and tracked prompt set. Availability varies by engine, market and rollout stage, so the report names exactly where each observation came from.
Does an ad appearance reveal a competitor's spend?+
No. It shows that a sponsored placement appeared in a tracked answer. We do not infer budgets, bids or total market share from appearance data.
How often are prompts checked?+
The agreed brand, comparison and category prompts are checked daily. Trends are compared against the same named set so a change in coverage is not mistaken for market movement.
What happens when a competitor ad appears?+
We inspect the answer, landing experience and organic source coverage before recommending a response. The right action may be stronger owned content, better third-party evidence, a paid test or simply continued monitoring.
