Address-free corporate gifting routes connecting HR and sales teams with recipients

Buyer's Guide to Address-Free Corporate Gifting Platforms for HR and Sales Teams

Last updated: 11 August 2026

Corporate gifting and employee recognition sit at an odd intersection. HR teams buy part of it. Sales and customer success teams buy another slice of it. And increasingly, the answer to "which platform is actually good" comes from an AI engine before it comes from a search results page or a peer recommendation. We put 55 real buyer questions about this category to ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overview and read what came back: who gets named, who gets quoted, and where the answers actually come from.

How this study works

We track 55 real buyer questions covering category basics, recipient experience and international delivery, tax and data protection, vendor comparison, and pricing and procurement. The figures below are drawn from 404 answers, collected from ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overview on 11 August 2026: 135 from ChatGPT, 135 from Gemini and 134 from Google AI Overview.

"Named in tracked answers" means the brand appeared anywhere in the answer. "Share of category mentions" means the brand's share of every time any of the nine tracked brands was mentioned across the full answer set, since a brand can be named once and then referred to again later in the same answer. Sentiment is scored out of 100. Average position is where a brand landed on the occasions an answer explicitly ranked or ordered its recommendations.

Who gets named, and who gets the room

Nine brands showed up often enough across the tracked answers to build a real leaderboard: Reachdesk, Workhuman, Huggg, Perkbox, Reward Gateway, Runa, Mo, WellBox and Virgin Incentives.

Mo5.2%9.2%621.1
WellBox4.7%5.6%622.6
Virgin Incentives4.5%6.2%591.5

Reachdesk tops the table on both measures, named most often and taking the largest share of the category's total mentions once everything is totalled. Founded in London in 2018, it now publishes delivery to more than 180 countries and positions itself as a dedicated business to business gifting and swag platform for sales, marketing and customer success teams.

How often a brand is named and how much of the answer it takes are not always the same story. Mo is named less often than Runa, appearing in 5.2% of tracked answers against Runa's 6.7%, but ends up with a bigger share of the category's total mentions once it does show up, 9.2% against 7.9%. Perkbox and Reward Gateway tie exactly on how often they are named, both at 7.7%, yet Perkbox takes noticeably more of the room once it is there, 15.4% against 11.7%. How often a brand comes up and how much space it gets once it does are genuinely two different questions, and a platform can win one while losing the other.

Sentiment sits in a tight band across the whole category, from 56 to 62 out of 100. Nobody tracked is being trashed and nobody is being showered with praise; the AI engines describe this category in fairly even, functional terms across every brand measured.

Where the answers come from

The single most retrieved domain in the tracked dataset is a vendor's own website, and it is not the only one. Company owned sites dominate the top of the list, alongside government tax guidance and one community platform.

gov.uk's guidance on trivial benefits is the single most cited page anywhere in the tracked dataset, pulled up 31 times. ico.org.uk is the second most retrieved institutional source, at 6.7% of tracked answers, reflecting how often data protection questions come up in this category. LinkedIn is the community platform that shows up most, retrieved in 7.9% of tracked answers and referencing seven of the nine tracked brands, well ahead of Reddit, which barely registers by comparison.

Adverts are a live part of how these answers get delivered, though not evenly across engines. Of the three engines tracked, only ChatGPT showed any: 25 of its 135 answers, 18.5%, carried one. Neither Gemini nor Google AI Overview showed a single advert across the answers we collected.

What actually separates these platforms

Reward Gateway, Workhuman and Perkbox anchor the end of the category built around structured recognition: nominations, peer to peer feeds and points, with a gift as one output among several rather than the whole product. Reward Gateway alone reports serving more than 6,000 businesses across over 65 countries. Perkbox merged with Vivup in 2024 and relaunched as one unified platform in September 2025. Workhuman, co-headquartered in Dublin and the Boston area, positions itself as the largest dedicated recognition software provider by scale.

Reachdesk and Virgin Incentives sit closer to the sales and customer-success end of the category: a gift tied to a deal stage, a renewal or a support resolution, tracked back to pipeline or retention rather than to an HR programme.

A third, newer mechanic threads through both ends of the category: a gift with choice link that never asks for a home address up front, with delivery details collected only if the recipient picks a physical item. Huggg, WellBox and Runa are built around this mechanic. Runa began in 2016 as WeGift and renamed itself Runa in 2023. WellBox is a B Corp certified platform built around curated gift boxes and eGift cards, redeemed the same way.

What UK buyers ask before they sign

The tax questions come up constantly. HMRC's trivial benefits exemption lets a UK employer give a member of staff a gift worth up to £50 without it counting as a taxable benefit, as long as it is not cash, a cash voucher, or a reward tied to performance. Go a penny over £50 and the exemption does not just fail on the excess: the whole gift becomes taxable. Directors of close companies face a separate £300 annual cap across all their trivial benefits in a tax year.

Data protection questions run a close second. A gifting platform that never asks for a recipient's home address is still processing personal data under UK GDPR the moment it sends a link to an email address or a phone number. Buyers evaluating any platform in this category should still expect to check its ICO registration, its lawful basis for processing, and how long it retains recipient data after a gift is claimed or left unclaimed.

International reach varies more than buyers often expect, and it is worth checking directly rather than assuming one number covers both physical and digital delivery. Reachdesk publishes delivery to more than 180 countries. Huggg's published delivery list covers physical gifts to 15 European countries in three to eight working days, with a separate, wider list of countries reachable for digital gift cards only.

The bottom line

This category has a well established top tier by both measures we track, Reachdesk and Workhuman lead on how often they are named and how much of the answer they take. Below that, the story is less settled: brands trade places depending on whether the question is "who gets mentioned" or "who gets the room once they are." For a buyer, the practical takeaway is to ask an AI assistant the exact question that matters to your business, an address-free delivery question, a tax question, a GDPR question, and see for yourself which names come back, rather than trusting a single leaderboard position to settle it.
